Hello everybody!
How have you been? We have been well. Actually, I have a story. I like stories and I have a lot of them. I recently flew from Australia to Canada and the man in front of me on the plane had the most horrendous god awful chest cough. I listened to him hack up parts of his lungs for just over 14 hours. Very pleasant. (I also think he went to the bathroom on the plane and coughed up a tooth. I went to the toilet after him and lo and behold I SHIT YOU NOT there was a tooth in the sink. SERIOUSLY!!! BUT this is another story). Anyways I convinced myself the cough was his own doing from a life of cigarettes, too much booze and sin. His cough seemed to fit that reality. I rolled with it for the 14 hours. I got to my apartment after 30 hours of transit. I showered and I went to bed. I woke up in the middle of the night (although my body thought it was lunch time) coughing up parts of my own lung (not his thankfully!) (read: not really my lung (or his), I just have a flair for the dramatic). I coughed for two weeks and was constantly plagued by the memories of said airplane man, the tooth in the sink and also his bald spot. I got to look at that a lot. BUT apart from that I have been great.
Damon has been great too! He didn’t fly to Canada so he remained healthy however he is soon flying to New York City to meet up with me! Let’s hope the same guy isn’t out infecting planes still. So there you go! I have given away that fact that DC and I rendezvousing in NYC very soon. WHY you ask? Well although perhaps on the surface we haven’t looked busy, underneath we have been a veritable hive of activity!!!! The last few months have seen us put the finishing touches on our new record! We are meeting in NYC to make some videos and take some photos with some amazing people. It’s all very exciting! Keep checking back because I promise you very soon all will be revealed! Well…I mean the album title and when it comes out will be revealed (again, my flair for the dramatic). Of course when the record comes out we will be hitting the road and we can’t wait to see many of your faces again!
December sees us play our own headline show in London! December 7 at The Borderline to be precise. If you live in London, do come along! We are basically distant (or not really that distant at all) cousins/convicts. In fact my cousins who are British and who aren’t convicts are sure to turn up to the show. The last time we played in London we were blown away at how many of you came out! We are hoping this show is even better! Tickets on sale here.
We then head to Europe to play some amazing dates including 3 shows in Germany for Fest Van Cleef!!! This is going to rule. We love playing in Europe! I intend to eat my body weight in chocolate…again. There are also dates in Vienna and Berne.
